An afternoon event with David Merritt and Lorna Henry

WHERE: Glen Iris Road Uniting Church, Glen Iris Glen Iris Rd. near the corner with High Street; (Melway Map 60 A9) Parking in church grounds and nearby streets.

THE TOPIC:

After the initial enthusiasm and sense of discovery from exploring Christianity that is informed but not restricted by earlier belief systems, what is next? Some progressive groups have been meeting for several years; PCNV is in its fifth year with a growing membership. Some of the focus to start with was on clearing away barriers and debris from ways of thinking developed in earlier and often prescientific eras. What should be the focus now? A widespread request is for a positive and practical approach to living. Is it time to change direction? If so heading where?

The process will offer stimulus for imagination through music, poetry and stories as well as reflection of the experiences of two local groups and what is happening around the world. The speakers will present proposals about “What next” for consideration by table groups.
