The 10th April meeting of the Progressive Christian Network of Victoria heard David Tacey deliver his address "Resurrection Stories for Non-literal Thinkers."

  1. In order to differentiate between them, David Tacey has idiosyncratically defined the words "belief" and "faith". We could easily reverse his definitions of the two words.

    It seems to me that what he is attempting to achieve is to differentiate between belief without evidence, on the one hand, and belief despite the evidence, on the other.

    A simpler way of expressing this is to say that believing without evidence is weak faith, and that believing despite the evidence is strong faith.
